Transition Manager (start-up BSC)

Our Client is establishing a Business Service Centre (BSC) in Budapest which will provide Finance, Customer Service and Operational Procurement services to its affiliates in Europe.
The main goal of the BSC is to deliver value add services and process transformation for the various business units. This role is directly responsible for managing various product transitions assigned to the Transition manager from inception phase, through transition mehodology, finalisation of Go live and supporting the stabilisation phase. Each transition will be managed in the agreed standard format with clear objectives, timelines and deliverables. This role will also be central to driving engagement between the BSC and Businesses and is therefore a key change advocate role.
 
Tasks
  • end to end responsibility for defined transitions to ensure appropriate quality, cost and cycle time of delivery
  • ensuring overall management of the quality of transitions to ensure appropriate quality, cost and cycle time of delivery
  • ensuring overall management of the quality of transitions through a RAPID framework with strong emphasis on:
    • quality of BSC employees hired for Transitions
    • quality of Knowledge transfers
    • PMO support of all aspects of each Transition
    • control of BSC Transitions costs for each project being worked
    • supporting people management on site and remote during transition
    • project interface between business, work stream and BSC
    • accountable for ensuring "Zero Surprise Transitions" through provision of effective and efficient project management supported by clear and regular communications
    • supporting final decisioning on Transition Go lives
    • supporting Stabilisation period and effective hadover to the operations teams post stabilisation being completed.
    • supporting the build of BSC Transition resource capability required for new activities
    • support to operational leads during transition
    • supporting the Management of Change for all transitions assigned together with the defined Change Managers
    • monitor and highlight any risk factors associated with project implementation
    • completion of Business Impact Assessment (BIA Process) at a process level which is a key deliverable of documentation needed for go live
    • support knowledge transfer between Business and BSC, as activities are tarnsferred to European BSC team
    • constant review and feedback about applied transition methodology
    • support the update of BSC systems, processes and infrastructure as required to facilitate new activities
 
Requirements
  • prior experience in transitions for a captive or outsourcing provider
  • involvement and experience in finance and customer services environment and transitions
  • exposure and understanding of major ERP systems such as SAP and Oracle
  • understanding and experience with transformational technology and process management approaches such as Siebel, OCR Technology, Lean, BPMS etc
  • project management experience and people co-ordination skills demonstrated from prior roles
  • proven track record of process implementation in similar environment
  • proven track record acting as an agent for change
  • experience negotiating, managing conflict and risk, in similar service centre implementation environment
  • fluency in English
  • Project Management and / or Process Improvement qualifications
