General Ledger Manager
Our Client is a multinational Shared Service Center offering financial services to its own affiliates worldwide.
Tasks
- The new colleague will be responsible for:
- supervising the activities of the general ledger team leaders in the general accounting department;
- carry out independent, in-depth analyses of complex financial and accounting issues and accounting research;
- taking a broad, integrated view of the financial statements for the assigned legal entities;
- communication in a timely and effective manner with assigned legal entities' divisional management;
- developing and maintaining partnerships with internal customers to increase satisfaction;
- reporting legal entity data to the divisional reporting systems and the corporate consolidation system, including additional analyses, schedules and research;
- oversee the coordination of the reviews and audits conducted by the external auditors;
- coaching/mentoring: educate, train, and support general ledger team leaders and super users in all aspects of their jobs and promotes continuous development geared towards meeting and exceeding expectations.
Requirements
- degree in Accounting or Finance
- certified Public Accountant preferred
- minimum of five years previous people management experience preferably in a similar role
- experience in managing large groups
- ability to work in an international and culturally diverse organization
- very good interpersonal skills: ability to communicate well with personnel in all levels of an organization
- fluency in English
